Vladimir Putin sent his congratulations to President of Italy Giorgio Napolitano on the country’s national holiday, Republic Day.
In his telegram of congratulations, the Russian President noted his satisfaction with the dynamic growth in Russian-Italian relations, which have reached the strategic partnership level over recent years, the constructive dialogue between the two countries, the big bilateral economic projects being carried out, and the expanding cultural and humanitarian contacts.
Mr Putin also gave a high assessment of Russia and Italy’s cooperation on the international stage, seeing it as an integral factor contributing to stability in Europe and around the world.
