Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to President of Italy Giorgio Napolitano on the country’s national holiday, Republic Day.
The President noted in his message that the Russian-Italian strategic partnership based on longstanding traditions of friendship and mutual respect is developing very successfully.
Mr Putin said he is confident that continued effort to build up constructive cooperation in all areas between the two countries and to coordinate action to resolve current issues on the international agenda is in the fundamental interests of both peoples and will contribute to stability and prosperity in Europe and the world.
