It gives me great pleasure to greet you here. Please pass on my regards to Comandante Fidel. I hope he is in good health.
I would like to note that relations between Cuba and Russia are developing, which makes us very happy. We have many interesting, promising projects in energy, engineering, and air and space. We can achieve serious results in each of those areas. A meeting of the interstate commission will be held soon.
I am very happy to see you within the framework of the UN General Assembly session and to have the opportunity to talk about all the areas of our cooperation.
President of the Council of State and the Council of Ministers of Cuba Raul Castro:(retranslated) Allow me to once again congratulate you on your speech; it received multiple rounds of applause. I also listened to the speeches made by the President of China and the President of the United States. Naturally, all three speeches had notable differences in opinion.
We are happy to meet with you. I will not take a lot of your time. I simply want to greet you. Our relations are going well and will certainly continue to strengthen in the future.
