The Samara Region Governor updated the President on the socioeconomic situation in the region and preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The Governor spoke about growth in oil production, the chemical industry and at the AvtoVAZ automobile plant. He also reported on the demographic situation and the construction of housing and ice arenas. The stadium for the 2018 FIFA World Cup is under construction and should be completed in December 2017.
