Vladimir Putin congratulated President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev on Independence Day, Kyrgyzstan’s national holiday.
In his telegram of congratulations, the President noted Kyrgyzstan’s efforts to pursue economic and social development, stabilise the internal political situation, and put in place the conditions for turning the republic into a modern democratic country.
Mr Putin highly appraised the friendship and cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan and the trusting high-level contacts that encourage development in all areas of bilateral relations.
The President expressed confidence that the two countries’ strategic partnership and alliance would continue to strengthen steadily in the interests of both peoples and of stability and security in the region.
