Vladimir Putin sent messages of condolence to President of France Francois Hollande and President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi over the crash of the Paris-Cairo plane over the Mediterranean Sea.
The President of Russia expressed his deep condolences and sympathy to the families and friends of the crash victims and wished them courage and fortitude in this time of grief and sorrow.
EgyptAir Flight MS804 with 66 people on board disappeared from radar 280 kilometres off the Egyptian coast. There were no Russian citizens on board. The causes of the crash are being investigated.
