Telephone conversations with authorities in the Central Federal District, Rostov Region, and the Emergency Situations Ministry

Vladimir Putin had a number of telephone conversations this morning with Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the Central Federal District Alexander Beglov, and Governor of Rostov Region Vasily Golubev.

The subject of discussion was the bad weather, especially heavy snow, particularly in Kursk Region, where the snow has practically paralysed the region, and also flooding in southern Russia, particularly in Rostov Region.

Mr Putin also discussed the situation with Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov.

The President gave instructions to mobilise all available equipment and also the required specialists to take emergency measures to address the situation and ensure that people have everything they need.
