Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö on his 70th birthday.
The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continue their contacts and joint efforts.
Earlier in the day, Vladimir Putin sent Sauli Niinistö a message of greetings.
The message reads, in part:
“The talks that we have just held in Sochi were, as always, highly constructive and effective, reaffirming our mutual intention to develop neighbourly relations between our countries.
We highly value the attention you pay to Russian-Finnish cooperation. Dear Sauli, I sincerely wish you good health, wellbeing and success in your work as head of state.”
