Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov chaired a meeting of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Countering Corruption.
The meeting reviewed the results of regional authorities’ anti-corruption efforts in the North Caucasus Federal District and set the tasks for making their work more effective. The meeting heard a report on the issue from Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Alexander Khloponin.
The results of federal agencies’ assessments of corruption risks that can arise in their work were also discussed at the meeting, which noted the need to improve this area, in particular through new anti-corruption requirements for federal civil servants and employees of state corporations.
The Presidium members heard a report from Presidential Adviser Sergei Dubik on the activities of the Commission for Coordinating Federal Executive Bodies and other State Agencies on Implementing International Anti-Corruption Agreements to which Russia is a Party. Mr Dubik heads this commission.
