Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic on the Serbian side’s initiative.
The Presidents expressed satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral cooperation and contacts at various levels. In particular, they noted significant growth in mutual trade by 80 percent and discussed prospects for implementing important projects in energy (South Stream), infrastructure (with the Russian Railways company), credit, finance, metallurgy, and other areas.
The Presidents exchanged heartfelt wishes for a happy New Year.
