Vladimir Putin visited the International Sambo Centre and the International Boxing Centre at the Luzhniki sports complex.
The President viewed the training halls, the Sambo Museum, and attended the final bout of the All-Stars Cup: Combat Sambo League and the opening ceremony of the International Moscow Cup held within the framework of the World Boxing League.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin accompanied the President.

The construction of the seven-storey complex with a total floorspace of 45,600 square metres, which houses both sambo and boxing centres, was completed in 2022. The facility was developed by the International Sambo Federation in collaboration with the Boxing Federation of Moscow.
The most striking feature of the building is a sloping glass ceiling with an optical effect and a glass curtain wall, which allows the public to watch athletes in training from the street. It is the first sports facility in Moscow with this feature.
