On June 7, Vladimir Putin will meet with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, who will be in Russia on an official visit to mark the 25th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations.
The upcoming meeting will examine the progress in implementing the agreements reached during Mr Netanyahu’s earlier working visit to Moscow. Particular focus will be on bilateral cooperation, specifically, prospects for further developing trade and economic relations and cultural and humanitarian ties.
The two leaders will also have a substantial exchange of views on regional issues, especially in the context of efforts to combat international terrorism. One of the most important items on the agenda will be the situation in Syria and related issues and the current state of Israeli-Palestinian relations and prospects for a settlement.
