Vladimir Putin spoke by telephone with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu at the initiative of the Israeli side.
The two leaders focused on efforts to counter the spread of the coronavirus. They had a detailed discussion of the restrictive and preventive measures the two countries were taking. Bilateral cooperation between interested agencies and organisations were discussed, in particular, the prospects for cooperation regarding the Russian vaccine, including distribution and production in Israel.
Developments in the Middle East were also discussed.
The sides agreed to maintain contact at various levels.
