Mr Kokov announced that a sustainable development plan has been mapped out for the region. A programme has been drafted jointly with the Finance, Economic Development, Regional Development and other relevant ministries to prevent an economic downturn in the republic. If the programme is fulfilled, it is expected that the gross regional product will increase 2.3-fold by 2018.
The head of Kabardino-Balkaria also noted the 7.2% growth in industrial production in the region, as well as a 20.8% increase in the volume of investment in construction.
