During a telephone conversation, Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on the landslide victory of his Bharatiya Janata Party in India’s general elections.
Both sides confirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening the friendly relations between the Indian and Russian people and developing the special privileged bilateral strategic partnership, as well as to maintaining their close coordination in the international arena.
It was also agreed to continue personal contact.
