Joint operations involve coalition forces, including troop contingents and observers from member states of the  Collective Security Treaty Organisation, the  Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, as well as those from Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, the People’s Republic of China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Syria and Tajikistan.

In all, the simulated combat operations involve over 50,000 service personnel, over 5,000 pieces of weapons and military equipment, including 140 aircraft, 60 warships, speedboats and support vessels.

Upon his arrival at the training ground, the President held a meeting with the Defence Ministry leadership and representatives of the leading defence industry enterprises.
