Vladimir Putin sent a message to President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulating him on Independence Day, a national holiday.
The President of Russia noted Kazakhstan’s achievements in the economy, social sphere, science and technology, the great respect enjoyed by the country internationally and its significant contribution to solving urgent international problems, including as a UN Security Council’s non-permanent member, as well as within the framework of the Astana process.
Vladimir Putin praised the successful development of Russia-Kazakhstan relations based on the traditions of friendship, neighbourliness and mutual respect, both bilaterally and in the context of the advancing Eurasian integration processes.
The President of Russia expressed his confidence in the further strengthening of the strategic partnership and allied relations between Russia and Kazakhstan for the benefit of the two brotherly nations and in the interests of international security and stability.
