Vladimir Putin offered his condolences to President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani over a significant loss of life in a terrorist attack in Kabul.

Vladimir Putin sent messages of condolences to President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif in connection with the numerous human casualties and damage caused by an earthquake in the northeast of Afghanistan and the northern and north-western areas of Pakistan.

Vladimir Putin met with President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani to discuss possibilities for developing trade and economic ties, cooperation in culture and education, and joint efforts to combat terrorism and drug trafficking.
