Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.
The two leaders discussed current bilateral cooperation matters in various areas, including joint projects in the energy sector and industrial cooperation.
Mr Renzi gave a high assessment of Russia’s contribution to the successful conclusion of talks on the Iranian nuclear programme in Vienna. The two leaders expressed the hope that, working together, the international community will find solutions to settle the crisis situations in Syria and Libya too.
Mr Putin and Mr Renzi agreed to continue their contacts in various formats.
