Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to President of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba on the Republic’s national holiday – Independence Day.
The President of Russia noted that this holiday represents the courage, tenacity and heroism of the people of Abkhazia, who won their right to a free and peaceful life in a tough struggle.
Vladimir Putin highly praised the positive development of relations between Russia and Abkhazia based on the age-long tradition of friendship, mutual support and good neighbourliness. He also expressed his confidence in the further enhancement of the entire complex of mutually advantageous bilateral cooperation in the interests of the citizens of both Russia and Abkhazia and in line with strengthening regional stability and security.
