Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba on the Day of Victory and Independence, Abkhazia’s national holiday.
The President of Russia stressed Abkhazia’s considerable progress in socioeconomic development, establishing state institutions and ensuring national security achieved in the years since the declaration of independence.
Vladimir Putin reaffirmed that Russia will render further comprehensive assistance to Abkhazia’s authorities and people in addressing the challenges they face.
