Visit to the St Nilus Stolobensky Monastery

After completing his working trip to St Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, Vladimir Putin visited the St Nilus Stolobensky Monastery in the Tver Region.

The President attended a church service to commemorate the Feast of Epiphany and took a dip in Lake Seliger to mark Epiphany.

Earlier on Thursday evening, the President held a working meeting with Tver Region Governor Igor Rudenya to discuss the region’s socioeconomic development. The agenda included a project to build the Zapadny (Western) Bridge across the Volga River in Tver, the region’s participation in A Clean Volga River federal priority project, as well as the participation of Torzhok and Vyshny Volochok in the federal programme for the preservation of cultural heritage. Governor Rudenya updated the President on other development issues in the region.
