Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Anna Kuznetsova met with 2017 Family of the Year national contest winners ahead of Mother’s Day.
Winners in the Large Family, Young Family, Rural Family, the Golden Family of Russia and Keeper of Traditions categories took part in the meeting. They shared their experience of bringing up and educating their children, and spoke about current challenges they face.
The Family of the Year national contest is held by the Foundation for the Support of Children in Difficult Circumstances and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection. This year, 322 families, winners of the regional stage of the contest from 85 regions of the country, made it to the finals.
