Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Anna Kuznetsova chaired the first meeting of an expert group at the Project Centre, which has been established at her initiative.
The meeting held at the Civic Chamber was attended by members of the Government, the Federation Council, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the Public and Expert Council at the Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights, the Russian Popular Front, the Presidential Grants Fund and other foundations, as well as researchers and representatives of NGO associations and unions.
Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Anna Kuznetsova opened the meeting by highlighting the importance and expediency of establishing the Project Centre. She said that many interesting initiatives, which are being implemented in the regions, fully meet the parents’ requirements and must not go unnoticed at the federal level.
Project Centre Head Sergei Rybalchenko reported on the essence and main goals of this initiative and outlined the main areas of work for the expert group.
The meeting participants also discussed the agenda for future work.
The Project Centre has been created to collect, analyse and provide expert analysis of social practices, initiatives and programmes for supporting families, mothers, fathers and children, as well as to promote projects and positive experience that can be used for drafting federal and regional laws and for implementing the state family policy. As of now, the Project Centre has received over 20 requests.
