Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The presidents discussed certain pressing issues on the bilateral agenda, including in the trade and economic sphere. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the Russian-Uzbekistani strategic partnership and alliance.
The Russian side expressed support for the efforts of Uzbekistan’s leadership to stabilise the situation in Karakalpakstan.
The presidents also discussed the schedule of their upcoming contacts.
