Vladimir Putin sent a message to Antonio Guterres, congratulating him on his re-election as Secretary-General of the United Nations Organisation.
“This decision of the General Assembly fully confirms your great political influence. I am sure that your work will, as before, serve to enhance the efficiency of the UN mechanisms, and to strengthen its coordinating role in global affairs,” the President of Russia wrote.
Vladimir Putin reaffirmed that Russia will continue, as a founding state and a permanent member of the Security Council, to help address the full range of tasks facing the UNO.
