Vladimir Putin congratulated Igor Dodon on his victory in Moldova’s presidential election.
The President said that the election results show that voters give broad support to Mr Dodon’s platform of bringing socioeconomic stability to the country and pursuing balanced foreign policy goals.
Mr Putin expressed his hopes for constructive dialogue and active work together to develop Russian-Moldovan relations in accordance with the bilateral Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation, which marks its 15th anniversary at this time.
The President invited Mr Dodon to visit Russia and wished him success in his important work as head of state.
