Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov on the national holiday, Republic Day.
“This remarkable day is a symbol of the courage and heroism of the South Ossetian people, who had to fight to defend their lawful right to a free and peaceful life,” the President of Russia wrote in his message.
Vladimir Putin highly praised the successful development of bilateral relations in the spirit of alliance and integration and confirmed Russia’s intention to continue to provide all-round assistance to South Ossetia’s efforts to achieve its economic and social development goals, as well as to uphold security and stability in the Caucasus.
