Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.
The two leaders exchanged sincere congratulations on the 90th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and expressed their mutual resolve to continue developing bilateral cooperation in all areas. They also expressed their desire to find a settlement to the crisis in Syria and ensure stability and security throughout the Middle East and North Africa.
Mr Putin confirmed his invitation to the King of Saudi Arabia to visit the Russian Federation when convenient.
