Vladimir Putin met with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, who is in Moscow to take part in events celebrating the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War
Mr Putin and Ms Merkel laid wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and took a short walk in the Alexander Garden before continuing their discussion at the Kremlin.
Following the talks, the two leaders made press statements and answered journalists’ questions.
