Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev at the Bulgarian side’s initiative.
The two presidents affirmed their mutual interest in developing Russian-Bulgarian cooperation in different areas, including energy.
They discussed preparations for joint events marking important anniversaries in the history of bilateral relations: the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Agreement on Friendly Relations and Cooperation (August 4, 2017) and the 140th anniversary of Bulgaria’s liberation from the Ottoman yoke (March 3, 2018).
The two leaders agreed to continue contacts at various levels.
