Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
In view of the upcoming Collective Security Treaty Organisation and Shanghai Cooperation Organisation events in Dushanbe, there was a detailed discussion of the developments in Afghanistan.
The conversation also covered certain topical matters of the bilateral agenda, including the joint COVID-19 response efforts.
Both leaders agreed to continue their contacts.
