In view of the Normandy format summit scheduled to take place on December 9, 2019 in Paris, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky at the Ukrainian side’s initiative.
The two presidents touched upon the situation with the transfer of three warships used by Kiev in the provocation near the Kerch Strait in November 2018.
Gas issues, including the continuation of gas transit and the resumption of direct Russian gas supplies to Ukraine, were discussed in detail.
It was agreed to maintain contacts at various levels.
