Dmitry Medvedev sent his condolences to President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych following the accident in the Dnepropetrovsk Region.
The message reads, in part:
“I am deeply shocked by the tragic news of the accident in Ukraine’s Dnepropetrovsk Region today, in which many people lost their lives and were injured.
It is difficult to express all the compassion felt in Russia in connection with our common tragedy. We are ready to render any assistance necessary to the injured.
Please convey my most sincere condolences to the victims’ families and to all the Ukrainian people.”
In the morning of October 12, a train crashed into a bus at an unguarded level crossing in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, killing 40 people and leaving another 10 in critical condition.
