The President approved a list of instructions following the June 22, 2017, meeting with Government members.
The instructions to the Government concern the use by the public of buildings and structures other than main pipelines, located within a minimum distance of main pipelines; a list of retail items on sale subject to disposal after expiration, as well as promotion of their full recycling; reclamation of solid household waste landfills and other waste disposal sites and restoration of the environment after such sites are taken out of operation.
The Government was instructed to develop proposals on granting the Emergencies Ministry additional authority regarding control over regional executive authorities in delivering aid to people affected by emergencies.
The Government and the Bank of Russia were instructed to ensure amendments to the law that create financial recovery mechanisms for insurance companies similar to the financial recovery mechanisms for lending organisations.
Instructions to the Government and the highest authorities of Russian regions – primarily, the Republic of Kalmykia, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, Saratov, Tver and Astrakhan Regions – concern regional road funds and, specifically, prevention of improper use of such funds.
The recommendations given to top regional officials concern the protection of rights of members of the public affected by dishonest practices of housing developers.
