Vladimir Putin extended his condolences to President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi over the tragic consequences of the terrorist attack in Shiraz.
The message reads, in part:
“It is difficult to imagine a more cynical crime than the murder of civilians, including children and women, in a religious shrine. Once again, we have seen that terrorism violates not only laws, but also the norms of human morality.
I would like to confirm Russia’s readiness to further expand antiterrorist cooperation with our Iranian partners.”
The President of Russia asked to convey words of sympathy and support to the victims’ families, as well as wishes of a speedy recovery to all those injured.
