This morning, Vladimir Putin heard reports from Russia’s Emergencies Minister Alexander Kurenkov and Amur Region Governor Vasily Orlov on the situation at the Pioneer mine.
The President issued instructions to take all possible measures to rescue the trapped miners and to provide the necessary emergency assistance.
A rock fall occurred at the underground work site at the Pioneer mine in the Amur Region on March 18.
