Instructions following meeting of Commission for Monitoring Targeted Socioeconomic Development Achievement Indicators in Russia

Vladimir Putin signed a list of instructions following a meeting of the Presidential Commission for Monitoring Targeted Socioeconomic Development Achievement Indicators in the Russian Federation, held on May 7, 2014.

A number of instructions issued to the Government of the Russian Federation concern the development of preschool education institutions, including private institutions. Individual instructions in this area were given to the Government jointly with the Russian Popular Front and the Accounts Chamber.

The Government has also been instructed to implement a set of measures to ensure faster development of the Far East and Baikal regions. The instructions include the approval of a concept of the Socioeconomic Development of the Kuril Islands (Sakhalin Region) in 2016–2025 federal targeted programme and a list of investment projects to be implemented in the Far East and Baikal regions, issuing regulatory legal acts ensuring favourable mortgage lending conditions for residents of the Far East and Baikal regions. Instructions were also given to ensure that Russia’s state programme on the Socioeconomic Development of the Far East and Baikal Regions includes measures to increase traffic capacity of the Amur, Lena, Ussuri, Kolyma and Vilyuy highways.

Separate instructions were given to the Healthcare Ministry, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, Economic Development Ministry, and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects.
