Dmitry Medvedev approved a list of instructions following a meeting with teachers who won the 2010 Russian Teacher of the Year contest.
Education and Science Minister Andrei Fursenko was instructed to organise a discussion of the draft federal law On Education in the Russian Federation and placing the draft up on a special Internet website. He was also instructed to set a commission to review comments and suggestions made during the discussion of the draft law.
Healthcare and Social Development Minister Tatyana Golikova and Andrei Fursenko were instructed to present suggestions on making certain amendments to the Russian Federation’s pension legislation concerning calculations for teachers’ length of service.
