Instructions following meeting of Council for Civil Society and Human Rights

Vladimir Putin approved a list of instructions following the meeting of the Council for Civil Society and Human rights held on April 28, 2012.

The instructions to the Government of the Russian Federation concern implementing a programme to commemorate victims of political repression; holding meetings of the Government Commission on Migration Policy; amending legislation on holding meetings, rallies, demonstrations, street marches and picketing; opening a Ministry of the Interior hotline for citizens to report crimes and unlawful behaviour by the Ministry’s staff, and amending the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation to introduce responsibility for officials for concealing conflicts of interest.

The Government has also been instructed to submit suggestions on implementing the recommendations of the International Labour Organisation Governing Body based on the results of reviewing Complaint No. 2251 from the Russian Labour Confederation.
