Vladimir Putin presented Mr Lebedev with the document confirming him as the President of the Russian Federation Supreme Court.
Mr Putin said that the merger of the Higher Arbitration Court and the Supreme Court has considerably increased the volume of work and level of responsibility.
The President wished Mr Lebedev success and said he hopes that the Supreme Court and the judicial branch of power in general will always be ready to protect the interests of Russia’s citizens.
