On behalf of Dmitry Medvedev, staff of the Presidential Executive Office Library have donated 1,096 books to Solovetsky School (Arkhangelsk Region), and helped to organise a reading room in the school.
The President signed an Order in November 2010, allocating over 9 million rubles (over $320,000) from the reserve fund for the extensive renovation of the buildings, furniture and fittings at Solovetsky School and Day-Care Centre.
