In Ufa, the President will hold a meeting of the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations, which will focus on implementing the state ethnic policy in Russia’s regions.
Meeting participants will discuss issues of improving regional legislative frameworks, staffing system, ethnological monitoring, socio-cultural adaptation and migrant integration.
Participants in the meeting will include the heads of federal government agencies, national ethnic and cultural associations, and science and expert communities.
Vladimir Putin will also meet with muftis from Russia’s Muslim spiritual administrations and engage with them in a discussion on the current problems in cooperation between the government and Muslim regional organisations.
Also, during the trip, the President will take part in a celebratory event honouring the 225th anniversary since the foundation of the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims in Russia.
