Vladimir Putin attended the public viewing ceremony for the first President of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov.
The President paid his last respects to the republic’s late leader by laying flowers at his coffin. The ceremony took place at the Bashkortostan Concert Hall in Ufa.
Murtaza Rakhimov, who served as the President of Bashkortostan for 20 years, from 1990 to 2010, died on January 11 at the age of 88.
