Yevgeny Savchenko briefed the President on the region’s socioeconomic situation. The meeting particularly focused on developing the manufacturing sector and agriculture.
According to the Governor, all the region’s socioeconomic indicators show a positive trend: life expectancy is increasing, the population is growing and economic indicators are rising. The Gross Regional Product is growing, the industrial production index is at 104 percent, and the agricultural production index is at 103.8 percent; investments are also on the rise. New manufacturing facilities are being commissioned, the pharmaceutical sector is becoming established, and greenhouses and a dairy complex are being built within the framework of the import substitution programme.
