Acting Governor of Chelyabinsk Region Boris Dubrovsky briefed Vladimir Putin on the socioeconomic situation in the region.
Mr Dubrovsky said that the results for the first eight months of 2014 show growth in industry, agriculture and housing construction. Wages in the region are also on the increase.
The President thanked Mr Dubrovsky for Chelyabinsk’s excellent work in organising the 2014 Judo World Championship, a big sports event in which more than 600 athletes from 110 countries competed.
