November 9, 2017, Chelyabinsk

Vladimir Putin and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev visited the Development of Human Capital exhibition.

The exhibition was organised at Russkiye Elektricheskiye Dvigateli [Russian Electric Motors], a new plant located at the Stankomash industrial park, where it is planned to manufacture AC motors for oil pipeline pump units, as well as generators, which will make it possible to ensure 100 percent localisaton of production in Russia and eliminate dependence on foreign companies. The production capacity will be up to 300 electric motors a year.

The presidents were shown archaeological finds dating back to the 21st century BC relating to the Bronze Age in what are now Ural-Kazakh steppes.

Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbayev were also briefed on Chelyabinsk Region development projects, in particular a development plan for the city of Chelyabinsk, which would like to host SCO and BRICS summits in 2020. Modern Russian and Kazakh education projects were also presented to the presidents.
