Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On the Acting Head of the Republic of Crimea.
Following the adoption of the Republic of Crimea’s Constitution and the establishment of the office of Head of the Republic of Crimea, in accordance with Article 80 of the Russian Federation Constitution, Mr Putin has appointed Sergei Aksyonov Acting Head of the Republic of Crimea until an elected head takes office.
