Vladimir Putin instructed Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to take additional measures to ensure affordable and accessible passenger and freight traffic services between the Crimean Federal District and the rest of Russia.
The instructions concern road and rail transport, increasing the number of routes and flights for air transport, increasing capacity at ferry crossing points and developing roadside service infrastructure there, and optimising organisation of traffic using combined modes of transport by making it possible to buy a single ticket covering different modes of transport to any destination point.
