Vladimir Putin signed executive orders appointing Magomedsalam Magomedov Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office and relieving him of his duties as President of Dagestan. Ramazan Abdulatipov has been appointed Acting President of Daghestan
Mr Putin accepted Mr Magomedov’s resignation from the post of President of the Republic of Daghestan following Mr Magomedov’s request for an early termination of his mandate.
In another executive order, the President appointed Mr Magomedov Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office.
Mr Putin appointed Ramazan Abdulatipov Acting President of the Republic of Daghestan until a newly elected President of Daghestan takes office.
